Equity in ELL

This proposed workshop is based on an observed problem of inequity in ELL classrooms containing students with different native languages and cultures. The issue identified is a subtle and nuanced symptom of the cultural systems and expectations in place in our American classrooms. While typically unnoticed, my DEI training allowed me to perceive the aspect as it related to the whole of the ELL experience, and pose an actionable solution.
